My Body, My Choice Is A Lie - It's Not Your Body, It's Not Your Choice
"My body, my choice" is a lie. According to the Bible, God owns your body, soul, and spirit. So, it's not your body, not your life, and not your choice.
God made man with a free will and man is 100% autonomous. Mankind has the ability and freedom to make his own decisions and act on them. However, mankind is depraved and God gave commandments that restrict the choices that man is allowed to make.
Mankind does not have the right to make any choice that he chooses. God gave mankind the Ten Commandments and other commandments in the Bible that specifically prohibit man from making certain choices. Even though God has forbidden certain choices mankind still has the ability to make those forbidden choices.
Made In God's Image
God made man in his image in the sense that man is a triune being like God. As God is composed of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit so man is composed of a body, soul, and spirit.
Genesis 1:26 (KJV) ¶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genesis 1:27 (KJV) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
God Is A Trinity
God is a trinity, one God, three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
1 John 5:7 (KJV) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Man Is A Trinity
God made man in His image, as a triune being. Like God, man is a trinity, one person composed of a body, soul, and spirit. The soul gives life to the body. The spirit is the element that gives to man a free will. It is essentially the person himself.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV) ¶ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Not Your Body, Not Your Life, Not Your Choice
Humans are stewards, not owners, of their body. The soul is an eternal entity that is temporarily given to a man and will be reclaimed by God who gave it. When the soul leaves the body, man dies. The spirit also leaves and will return to God as well.
It's Not Your Body
Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost and doesn't belong to you. It is on loan to you from God. Your body belongs to God. God has the authority to tell you what to do with your body. God even has the authority to tell you what to do with someone else's body. That's why He gave us the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments is God exercising His authority and right to tell man what they can and cannot do. Although you have the ability to do as you choose, you do not have the right to act against God's commandments.
1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1 Corinthians 6:20 (KJV) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
It's Not Your Life (Soul)
You are going to die, 100% for certain. Death is God taking back the soul that was given on loan to you. Then, God will require that you to give an account of what you did with the life that you were given.
Luke 12:16 (KJV) And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
Luke 12:17 (KJV) And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
Luke 12:18 (KJV) And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
Luke 12:19 (KJV) And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
Luke 12:20 (KJV) But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
Luke 12:21 (KJV) So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
It's Not Your Choice (Spirit)
God gave you a body, soul, and spirit. Your body will go back to the dust from whence it came. Your soul (that gave your body life) and spirit (that allows you to have a free will) will return back to God. God is going to take back the spirit that makes you you.
The spirit that God has given you provides you the ability but not the right to disobey his commands. If you choose to reject God's authority over you and do your own thing, then you will pay the price for it.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 (KJV) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Free Will Exists
The entire story of the Bible is about the spirit of man exercising his free will and violating the commands that God gave him. Because you are 100% autonomous, totally capable of making your own decisions and governing yourself, after you die you will be held accountable for the choices that you make.
Free Will Is Demonstrated By The Restrictions That God Has Placed On Man's Choices
The Bible constantly reaffirms the free will that God has given to man in:
- The 10 Commandments: The commands in the Bible are a demonstration of God acknowledging man's free will and restricting it. Murder and adultery restrict what you can do to someone else's body. Steal and lie restrict what you can do with your body. Covet restricts the feelings you have in your spirit.
- The word "repent" and "repentance": These words show that you have a free will, that your choices are your own, and you have the ability and an obligation to change your mind and go God's way.
- The words "law" and "judge": The "law" are rules and regulations that restrict what you are allowed to choose. The judge examines your choices to see if you violated the law and did that which is forbidden. And, if it turns out that you have chosen the forbidden, he passes judgement and gives a penalty for transgressing the laws.
- "Heaven" and "Hell": These are places of final destination, where a person ends up for choosing right or choosing wrong.
Free Will Is Demonstrated By The Words "Choice", "Choose", "Freewill", "Own Will", "Self Will"
The vocabulary in the Bible points to a free will.
- The words "choice" and "choose": If you don't have a free will then why do we even have these words or know what the words mean?

However, You Don't Have The Right To Do Whatever You Want To Do
God has also given man commandments that prohibit man from doing the wicked, evil, sinful things that man desires to do. God has the right to tell you what to do with your body, your life, and your choices. Your body, soul, and spirit belong to God and after you die you will stand in judgment before Him. It's not your body, it's not your life, and it's not your choice to make.
My body, my choice
"My body, my choice." is a lie! Your body, soul, and spirit all belong to God.
Nobody Has The Right To Make A Sinful Choice
God has provided everyone with a free will and the ability to choose to do evil. However, God never gave man permission to do evil. Throughout the Bible we see man constantly turning their back on God and falling into sin. Then we see God constantly trying to get man to turn from their wicked ways.
You Should Choose Good
Throughout the Bible we see God constantly trying to get man to choose that which is good.
Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Joshua 24:15 (KJV) ¶ And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Most Men Choose Evil
Also, throughout the Bible we see man constantly rebelling against God's commandment for them to choose good and constantly choosing that which is sinful, evil, and wicked.
Isaiah 66:1 (KJV) ¶ Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
Isaiah 66:2 (KJV) For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Isaiah 66:3 (KJV) He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
Isaiah 66:4 (KJV) I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
They Choose Evil Because They Love The Darkness
You choose what you believe. What you believe is a choice that you make. Belief is a choice.
Most people decide what to believe based on the agenda they are pursuing. If truth gets in the way of that agenda then they decide to not believe the truth because they love darkness, sin, and wickedness.
John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 (KJV) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:18 (KJV) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:19 (KJV) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:20 (KJV) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
John 3:21 (KJV) But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
You Are Going To Die
You Can't Stop It From Happening
Mankind does not have power over their soul or spirit, either to retain them in their body, or to bring them back from heaven or hell. If the breath WAS life, then you could pump air back into those lungs and bring that person back to life. If the blood WAS life, you could pump blood through the veins and bring the person back to life.
But the sad fact is, once the soul and the spirit are gone there is nothing that you can do to bring that person back to life (to bring that persons soul and spirit back into his body). Pump oxygen into his lungs, pump blood through his veins... breathing and blood flowing through the veins are signs of life... but they are not THE life... the spirit has returned to God and can't be taken back.
Ecclesiastes 8:8 (KJV) There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.
You Will Be Judged By God For Your Actions
Everyone Will Die And Be Judged
Because you have a freewill you are responsible for the choices that you make. After you die God will hold you accountable for what you have done in your life and with your life.
Hebrews 9:27 (KJV) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
At The Judgment Seat Of Christ
After you die you will stand before Jesus Christ (God) and be judged for the way you lived your life on earth. Jesus Christ created the universe, died for mankind, and will be the one judging mankind.
2 Corinthians 5:10 (KJV) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
2 Timothy 4:1 (KJV) ¶ I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
Judged According To Their Works
God is going to use the morality that He defined in the Bible to judge your works. He gave us Ten Commandments by which to live. Whether you agree with God's commandments or not, your opinion about what is right or wrong won't matter, you won't be asked to share it. Only God's opinion will matter and you can find His opinion in the Bible. If you, while you are alive on this earth, don't like the commands of God that are found in the Bible, after you die your soul will be thrown into the lake of fire for eternity.
Revelation 20:11 (KJV) ¶ And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Revelation 20:12 (KJV) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Revelation 20:13 (KJV) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Revelation 20:14 (KJV) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 20:15 (KJV) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Murderers And Whoremongers Will End Up In The Lake Of Fire
Revelation 21:8 (KJV) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

There Are Only Two Destinations For The Soul
Heaven and hell are the only two destinations for the soul after it departs from the body. There is no such thing as purgatory. You soul and spirit do not hang around earth haunting people or trying to find a way home. The moment a person dies he is immediately in heaven or hell.
Heaven
When Lazarus died he went to heaven. Abraham had already died and gone to heaven. Abraham met Lazarus in heaven and embraced him and welcomed him home.
Luke 16:19 (KJV) ¶ There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
Luke 16:20 (KJV) And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Luke 16:21 (KJV) And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
Luke 16:22 (KJV) And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
Hell
After the rich man died he ended up in hell with the same degenerate spirit that he had on earth. His transformation from life do death did not alter his soul or spirit. He was the same evil guy in hell that he was on earth. Death did not change his character or his moral quality in any way. He was just as selfish and self-centered in hell as he was on earth. But now he was tomented in the flames of hell.
Luke 16:23 (KJV) And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Luke 16:24 (KJV) And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
When A Human Soul Goes To Hell It Can Never Leave
There are instances in the Bible of various people that God raised from the dead. This is a miraculous event that happened to a very few. None of the people that were raised from the dead had their soul retrieved from hell. They were all believers that died and went to heaven.
The consequence of disbelief is made permanent after death. There is no second chance. Death and hell did not make him holy, just miserable. After you are placed in hell you can never leave.
Luke 16:25 (KJV) But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Luke 16:26 (KJV) And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
The Dead In Hell Remember The Living On Earth
A person does not cease to exists after his soul leaves his body. He continues to exist in either heaven or hell for eternity. Death destroys the body but not the soul and spirit. This rich man's thoughts drifted back to the living on earth. Death did not remove the remembrance of them from his mind. The living may forget the dead but the dead do not forget the living.
Luke 16:27 (KJV) Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
Luke 16:28 (KJV) For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
The Bible Provides Sufficient Prophetical Evidence For The Living To Escape Hell
If you end up in hell it's your own fault! There is sufficient prophetical evidence in the Bible for you to figure out that it is true. The Bible contains many prophecies. You can look at the time a prophecy was given and then see when it came to pass. Only God knows the future so the Bible, and what is says about life and death, must have come from God. If you are going to close your mind and reject what the Bible says there is nothing else that can be done for you.
Luke 16:29 (KJV) Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
Luke 16:30 (KJV) And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
Luke 16:31 (KJV) And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Who Can Make It Into Heaven?
Since everyone has lived an immoral life and broken God's commandments, and God is going to punish all sins, how can anyone make it into heaven?
Hebrews 2:1 (KJV) ¶ Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
Hebrews 2:2 (KJV) For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
Hebrews 2:3 (KJV) How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Hebrews 2:4 (KJV) God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
God Has Promised To Call All Men
God has promised to call all men to him. Every person that has been or will be born will be given the opportunity to receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Jesus promised to draw all men to Himself. It is a guarantee that everyone would be drawn to Him.
John 12:32 (KJV) And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Everyone Is Elegible
Everyone is elegible to make it into heaven. God offers the opportunity to everybody. "Whosoever believeth" will make it in. "Whosoever" means everybody, no matter how good or bad they are.
John 3:15 (KJV) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Most Men Resist And Reject God's Calling
The problem is that most men resist and reject God's offer of salvation. They prefer to live in sin and die and go to hell. They go to hell because they rejected the way into heaven. They chose hell.
Acts 7:51 (KJV) ¶ Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Acts 7:52 (KJV) Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
Acts 7:53 (KJV) Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
How To Get Into Heaven
If you choose God then God chooses you. You become one of God's chosen (elect) people. All men have the ability and free will to choose God. Most men won't do it.
You want to make it into heaven? Receive Christ as Lord and Saviour and you become one of God's chosen (elect) people and you will make it in. It all centers around your free will, your decision, on whether you will or will not receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour. The words "repent", "believe", and "receive" all deal with your free will, your choices.
Repent
If someone is going the wrong way, before they can be helped, they must change their mind about the way they are going. That is what repentance is, a change of mind, not a work. If the person is not convinced that his way is wrong he won't turn from it. All assistance provided to him enables him to keep going the wrong way. It will never deliver him from his problem. Until a person believes that God's way is the right way there is no hope, salvation, or deliverance for them.

Believe
You decide to accept something as true when you believe. Believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and paid the complete penalty for them.
Romans 10:9 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10 (KJV) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:11 (KJV) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Romans 10:12 (KJV) ¶ For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Romans 10:13 (KJV) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Receive
You receive the truth by choosing to accept that which you believe. (Some people KNOW that Donald Trump is president but they won't receive him as THEIR president. They have rejected that which they have believe to be true.)
Believing that Jesus is God and receiving him as your God are different things. When Jesus was born and the wise men followed the star to Jerusalem and inquired where the King of the Jews was, Herod went to the scribes and the priests for the answer. The priests accurately told the location of the Savior but did not go to worship. They knew the truth and believed the truth, but they rejected the truth. You can know the truth and still reject it. But those that received Jesus as God became the sons of God.
John 1:12 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:13 (KJV) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
If you truly believe that Jesus is God, that he died for your sins, was buried and rose again the third day and you want to be delivered from your sin, you want God to change your life, you want to be God’s child and have a home in heaven after you die then pray the following prayer.
Dear heavenly Father:
I know that I’m a sinner; I know that I can’t save myself; I know that you, Jesus Christ, are God. I am sorry for my sins and repent. Please forgive me. I believe that you died for my sins, were buried, and rose again the third day. I receive you as my God. Please save me today.
